The separation between the cylinder and concave in the conventional system is one of the critical points to define a good threshing, which manages to separate the grains of the spike efficiently and, at the same time, without breaking them.

There should always be greater separation to the entry of the material to the threshing so that it is progressive and efficient. There is the idea that leaving more open back is beneficial to avoid clogging in this part of the machine, since all the material that enters can leave. But reality shows that this produces a higher percentage of breakage due to a very aggressive threshing at the beginning.

With a proper regulation like the one mentioned above, a gradual threshing is assured. The amount of material decreases as it progresses in the path between both components, as a part passes through the open concave, both grains and glumes and other structures. Then, as the amount of material is smaller, the space must be smaller also for the purpose of threshing the entire surface of the concave.



Threshing- cylinder and concave

Soy is a relatively easy threshing crop when it is dry, but it is also quite weak grain so that the speed of the cylinder and its separation from the concave are essential factors to perform good threshing with Combine Performance Parts and avoid the damage of the seed.

Intelligent concave

The concave of Combine Performance Parts has a differentiated spacing between wires. The spacing in the rear section of the concave is twice as large as in the front. This arrangement guarantees an optimal relationship between a good threshing capacity and a high separation capacity. To optimize threshing quality, you can adjust the concave independently on the front and rear from the comfort of the cab.

Two systems in one

The concave of the ESTES PERFORMANCE CONCAVES has a large separation surface. Another distinctive feature of our Combine Performance Parts is that the concave of the separator can be retracted above the rotary separator. An electric motor places the concave in the desired position - according to needs; without requiring additional tools.

Perfect in front and behind: the front and rear concave openings can be electrically adjusted independently. You can adapt the threshing unit to any harvesting condition from the comfort of the cabin.

The concave of the separator is located under the multicultural separator (MCS). This adjustment improves the separation performance in long and wet straw conditions, which allows a high yield even in difficult harvest conditions.

Interchangeable sectional concave

For farmers and contractors who harvest many different crops, the Combine Performance Parts can be adapted in a moment by a new sectional concave. The segment of the front concave can be easily removed and can be exchanged through the opening of the stone trap. There are two front concave segments: one with a wire spacing of 14 mm for intensive threshing of the grain crop and a concave segment with a wire spacing of 24 mm for the harvest of corn, soybeans or sunflower. To improve grain separation, the universal rear concave segment has a wire spacing of 24 mm.
