Benefits Of Using Advanced Combine Concaves For Harvesting

With the new level of advancement in the technology of farming equipment, the use of combine concaves has added a new meaning to the harvesting operation and has taken it to new heights of efficiency. Farmers are certainly enjoying some benefits of using the harvesters for harvesting purpose. The advent harvesters offer maximum coverage of the field area in a very short period of time. In fact, it also ensures that during the harvesting process the loss of grain will be reduced effectively, and the rate of success will be increased. There will be a minimal loss of grain.

Using the combine concaves will definitely save the time and also ensures a significant increase in the production and profit level. Thus, the benefits of the combine have become the sole reason for the farmers to love it. The combine harvesters have gained the popularity all across the globe. For harvesting purpose, one can certainly enjoy the specific benefits.

Benefits of Combine in Crop Harvesting

The combine concaves have provided the farmers an opportunity where they now can harvest the crops with complete ease and in very less time, the production level of the crops will be enhanced significantly. Now, the use of combine harvester has enabled the farmer to harvest any kind of crop that you can grow, and the quantity of these crops can be grown to time fold. All kinds of crops like barley, wheat, oats, soya bean, maize etc. can be harvested using combine.

Through combine concaves, farmers are now capable enough to perform other three operations of farming as well like threshing, reaping and winnowing. The rate of time and effort has now been reduced to a great extent. When the farming processes like threshing, winnowing etc. are performed manually, there is a high probability of waste straws, leaves and other related product of field to be left behind hence, causing the loss of grain. But using the combine harvester, most of the field items can now easily be collected.

Another advantage of using the combine concaves is that all the collected waste can now be fed to the livestock which in fact saves money in buying the feed.

Increased Yielding Efficiency of Production

Using the advanced combine harvester, the production has been increased and the rate of loss has been decreased. Various research on farming operations has shown that when concaves are being used in a combine harvester, the level of yield increases and the number of grains collected from crops have also been increased. The overall rate of production on per acre basis has been raised by sufficient quantity. Now, the task of harvesting is no longer considered to be time taking and full of more efforts. With the combine, the task can be completed with the ease, the effort required will be less and the amount of yield from the farms increases to a greater amount.

The several advanced features of concave used in combines have what contribute to its success and have made possible for production to increase to a greater level.Other promising features are easy grain cleaner, safe to use, increased ground speed level etc.

Importance of John Deere Combine Settings

Harvesting is a vital step in a farmer’s effort to have a good result to his farming operations. In the past, it was a cumbersome process. However, in modern times, technology and mechanization have come to the aid of farmers. Harvester combines help farmers to use harvesters for different crops conveniently. The right kind of John Deere Combine settings would make the whole operation much more efficient and profitable.

What are John Deere Combines and why their setting matters:

John Deere Combines represent the best kind of harvesters in the market, coming as it does from a globally respected farm equipment producer. But to get the best out of these great combines, the John Deere Combine settings must also be carefully done.

That will go a long way in improving the quality and yield of the crop harvested.

A few tips for John Deere combine settings:

• Harvesting is always a challenge for farmers. The process is complicated not only by the different crops involved but also the state of each crop. For example, harvesting high-moisture corn creates its own special problems as compared to harvesting dry corn. This calls for adjustments and configuration changes in the John Deere Combine settings. If not, there will loss of grains.

• Starting right at the front of the combine, the farmer has to work through different parts of the combine to make fine adjustments in the settings. The series of adjustments must begin at the header by making sure that the header is feeding in the crop in an even manner and in the right direction. Often, 80% of harvest loss occurs at the header. Later, comes the adjustments of the concave and sieve. The feeder chain clearance above the floor must be adjusted for the kind of crop being harvested.

• The drum position has to be upright and the conveyor speed relatively slower. There are usually 15 threshing elements present in the standard configuration when wet corn is harvested. During the process, if any grain damage is noticed, it may be necessary to change the elements of row one and two into smoother ones. The relative link of the concave and the rotor must also be considered. The concave type to be used for better performance is the round bar type, when wet corn is involved.

In general, it is a good idea to have the initial John Deere Combine settings for the concave clearance to match the diameter of the cob. If the concave clearance is too wide or closed too tight, cracks and broken grains may increase. The users must ensure that Rotor is set at as slow a speed as feasible and the concave should be set as open as possible to reduce the grain losses.

A very important tip to remember at all times is that while making the settings, we should take up only one adjustment at a time.

The John Deere Combine settings when done properly, ensures excellent productivity and output. The loss if any is minimal and within acceptable levels. The grain quality will also be is quite good. That’s a well deserved reward for the industrious and devoted farmers.
